For Killjoy, I focused on emphasizing her iconic street-tech aesthetic while pushing a more stylized, painterly look through bold color blocking, expressive lighting, and textured brushwork. The goal was to stay recognizable to the original design while adding my own artistic interpretation.

The original character explores a softer, chibi-inspired approach, leaning into simplified shapes, subtle colors, and cute, expressive body language. Placing these two characters side by side highlights how different stylistic choices can convey mood, story, and personality even within the same illustration.
